Petrus Stubbe opened a family chocolate-making plant which was to become the foundation for generations of specialists in the creation of fine chocolate.

Almost 150 years later, in 1989, great-great-grandson Heinrich Stubbe opened a new chapter in the history of the chocolate family business by moving to Ottawa, Canada.

His children, Daniel and Anne, after finishing a 3-year apprenticeship and several years of experience in Germany, are now the sixth generation of Stubbe pastry chefs and carrying on the family tradition. Daniel in Toronto and Anne in Ottawa, specializing in the finest chocolates.

In the Stubbe chocolates shops you find a large variety of Truffles, Tortes and Sweets, all created on the premises, using traditional recipes and the  fines ingredients from around the world.

Generous in spirit Heinrich, Daniel and Anne Stubbe are as comfortable discussing their own creations as they are in sharing their expertise with the customers.
